a comparism of android phones and iphones

iPhone by Apple Inc was here before Android phones by Google flooded the market. And expectedly, since they are both smartphones, so many comparisons are on their trail.

Quite a number of the comparisons have been based on individual wants and desires. The truth, at the end of the day, is that for some iPhone will be better than Android phones and for others, Android phones will be better.

A lot of factors like personality, what they use the phones for, the prevailing circumstances around them, their income, wants, need, and maybe, environment has been used in the comparison for the two phones.

However, while both phones have merits and demerits, one of both types of phones will have a higher edge over the other that will make it stand out.

But let us compare them first before deciding.

The first difference between both phones is that while iPhones strictly belongs to Apple, Google gave the right of the Android phones to different phone makers. So in essence, Android phones come in various shapes, sizes and specs while iPhones are simply based the Apple hardware and software design. So, with an Android phone, you have a variety of choices to pick from. It has its pros and cons. The good thing is that with this, it meets the needs of different people. If your desire on a phone is good battery or camera or storage, you have a plethora of choices to pick from. On the other hand, it can pose a problem of choice because too much variety can be confusing sometimes.

Camera: The camera of the iPhone is consistently great, in fact, it gets better with each model that is brought into the market. However, that of Android phones varies. Considering that they are allowed to different phone makers, the quality varies depending on the brand as well as the model

The security and Privacy: iPhone has a Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Some Android phones come with this feature as well. But mostly, the security feature varies with the Android phones. They have different features such as the pin codes, swipe, face recognition and fingerprint. Also, data is more secure on iPhones because data are encrypted and cannot be accessed without a passcode. Furthermore, the fact that the operating system of Android phones is not restricted to just Google, it makes it more susceptible to the virus than the iPhone that is strictly an Apple product.

Reliability and Durability: Well, it is hard to say which is more durable and reliable. This is because some Android phones are even more durable than iPhones and some Android phones are not durable at all, this depends solely on the brand and model of the phone. So it is difficult and not to mention, untrue, to say Android phones are more durable or iPhones are more durable. It depends on the brand you get. However, with iPhones, you can be sure of durability except that it is also quite fragile, so it is s type of phone one has to be careful with.

Customisation: This is one high edge that Android phones have over iPhones and one of the reasons why many people, who prefer Android phones, do. Android phones are easy to customize to your taste. With the different themes, wallpapers, display options, and many more that it offers. It can be your phone in the real sense of it. Unlike an iPhone that is strictly the way the Apple wants it to be and has to be used that way, you can make your Android phone represent you.

Keyboard: The keyboard of the Android phone has more options than the iPhone and can also be customized to your taste.

Connectivity: The iPhone, especially the more recent model, have faster internet connectivity than the Android phones.

Storage: Android phones have larger storage than iPhones in general. Of course, there are Android phones that do not have that much storage, but they usually come with a memory card space to give you more option on the kind of storage you want.

Flexibility: The Android phone is more flexible than the iPhone. With Android phones, you have the variety of options and apps at your disposal, while with the iPhone, you are limited to the options on the App store in your country. Also, it is easy to connect Android phones to other devices like the PC and share files but it is difficult on an iPhone except it is also an Apple product.

The above comparisons will show you that at the end of the day, what will make one operating system a better choice for you will depend on what you value. If you value customization and flexibility, for instance, then Android is better for you. But if you desire security and want the privacy of your data, the iPhone is the one for you. The information is there for you to choose which one you prefer.

Either way, some people will prefer the iPhone while others prefer the Android phones. Once again, it comes down to taste, preference and what you will be using your phone for.
