On 8th August 2015, guests from the design, Fashion, business, arts, culture, comedy, music and media came together to celebrate Kenya’s arts and talents at the Jumia Glamour Awards at the Boma hotel in Nairobi.
Before the event, guests enjoyed a wine tasting session courtesy of Rigogolo wines as a ray of cameras flashed on both established and upcoming trendsetters in different arts and talents. The MC of the night Sharlene ‘Shish’ previously of Tahidi high was all fly as she took to the stage. Comedians Obina and Owago Onyiro spared no one’s ribs with their magical touch of comedy as they took to present an award to Parinaz Firozi managing director Jumia who stole the show as the best dressed CEO.
While receiving her award winning secular musician Avril asked Kenya DJs to play more Kenyan music to support and promote talents. She took home the award for best dressed female artist of the year while her male counterpart ‘Dumbala’ hit maker JAY took home the award for best dressed male artist of the year.
At the end of the event 25 award winners received their trophies. Here is the list of all of them.
