What’s in the box
HAIR MASK: Mix 1 tbsp. of amla powder ,1 tbsp of shikakai powder, 1 tbsp of nupur henna and 1 tbsp of aloe vera powder with hot water and make a paste. Then add your favorite conditioner or avocado, coconut milk. Your mixture should have the consistency of blended baby food. Apply liberally to freshly washed hair, cover with a shower cap for at least an hour, and then rinse thoroughly with cool water. Wash once or twice with conditioner after, to make sure all ingredients are out of your hair. Style as usual.
TEA RINSE: Brew one teaspoon of shikakai like a normal cup of tea. Pour tea water into a spray bottle and spray daily on the scalp, mist curls to refresh. Keep the spray bottle in the refrigerator. Brew a new batch of tea water every week. Can also be used to mist hair to set braids or twists.
CLEANSER: Begin with thoroughly wet hair. Section hair in 6. Add two tablespoons of the shikakai paste to an applicator bottle. Fill the bottle with warm water all the way to the top. Shake the the bottle until the powder has been thoroughly melted. Apply the soapy water directly onto your hair from scalp to ends in a combing motion. Cover each section of your hair. Gently massage scalp and hair, adding more water as needed, until good lather forms.
To prevent tangles, be sure to always work from the top down, don't pile your hair on your head and use your fingers like a comb, not a mixer. With this method, it is very important that you really build up a good lather on your head so there are no patches of cleanser left on your hair. Rinse, rinse, rinse! Repeat if desired.
OIL: Section dry hair in 6. Apply 1-2 teaspoons of oil on scalp, (if you have split ends saturate with oil) with fingertips or comb your hair thoroughly to get the oil evenly distributed. Massage each section for 3 minutes using fingertips or massager. Cover hair with plastic cap. Leave on for 30 minutes. Shampoo, Hair Mask. Condition. Style as usual.
Oil can also be used in daily style routine as usual.

First time using ayurvedic products and so far, i love the amla, aloe vera and shikakai powders. The oil is okay but i'm not going to be using the henna powder ( i prefer real protein treatments). Waiting for the hibiscus powder i just ordered!!
