Design & Construction: The shoes are designed to combine the lightweight feel of a trail running shoe with the stability and durability of a hiking shoe. The upper is made of an abrasion-resistant mesh with synthetic overlays. The gusseted tongue helps keep out debris.
Outsole: The outsole is made with Continental™ Rubber, which provides excellent traction on both wet and dry surfaces. The outsole features chevron lugs that offer enhanced grip on soft terrain like gravel and scree.
Midsole: A dual-density EVA midsole provides lightweight cushioning and shock absorption. The firm midsole provides a stable platform for hiking on uneven terrain.
Waterproofing & Breathability: Some versions of the Terrex AX4 feature a GORE-TEX membrane for waterproof and breathable performance, while others are water-repellent. The mesh upper provides decent ventilation.

Sustainability: The upper of the shoe is made with at least 50% recycled content, as part of Adidas's commitment to using recycled materials to help end plastic waste.
