Astel Wideband Splitters Series are used in coaxial SAT-IF
distribution networks operating with Digital Satellite DVB-S/S2 (QPSK,
8PSK) or in Digital Terrestrial signals (DVB-T/DVB-T2). These splitters
features high shielding, heavy weight die cast housing use in SAT-IF and
MATV distribution networks.Splitter divide the input signal into equal
parts. Signal is attenuated between Input and Output ports. Depending on
the split (1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 1x6, 1x8, 1x12, 1x16), the signal is
attenuated between the input and output ports. Higher the split, higher
the attenuation. Typically every 1x2 split, attenuates the input by 3.0
dB.
Basically a splitter is a passive device which accepts an input
signal and delivers multiple output signals with specific output phase
and amplitude characteristics. When RF signal is feed at one port, and
gets the RF output from other output ports. And the reduction in the
output signal level depends upon the number of outputs for which the
signal is splitted.
