How to Play Coup (Quick Overview)

Setup: Each player starts with two face-down role cards from a deck of 15.

Gameplay: On your turn, take one action — earn coins, assassinate, steal, or challenge others.

Bluff: You may claim to be any character — Duke, Assassin, Captain, Ambassador, or Contessa — whether you have the card or not.

Challenge: Any player can call your bluff. If they’re right, you lose a card. If they’re wrong, they do.

Goal: Be the last player with influence (at least one role card) remaining.
