Effective, lightweight moisturiser
Quench has a synthetic smell to it that reminds me of the smell of Calpol cough syrup. It's similar to that. The smell softens after a while though. It is very moisturising. Seconds after applying it, your hair feels soft and looks healthy with a subtle lustre. This lasts barely half the day and then your hair feels dry. So please make sure if you buy this to use a sealant to lock in the moisture. This could also help if you want something to help detangle your hair after braids, etc. FYI: If you're wondering about the feel, this isn't a thick product. It's pretty lightweight and I don't see it weighing down your hair if it's Type 3 or 4 hair.
