MUKOBERO: Mondia Whitei

MUKOMBERO (scientifically known as Mondia Whitei).

Mondia is used as a traditional remedy in many parts of Africa to improve appetite and libido, as a galactagogue, as a fertility medication, and as an antidepressant. The most commonly cited use in African countries where it is used medicinally is as an aphrodisiac.

It's used to treat erectile dysfunction and other 'performance' issues. Mukombero is high in vitamins (A, D, K, and E), minerals (magnesium, iron, zinc, and calcium), and proteins. Because its bitter roots have a vanilla flavor, they are used to make tea.
