Protection Against UVB Rays:
UVB rays have shorter wavelengths and are the main cause of sunburn and direct DNA damage leading to skin cancer. Sunscreens with a high Sun Protection Factor (SPF) specifically measure protection against UVB radiation. For effective protection, dermatologists recommend using sunscreens with at least SPF 30 or higher.

Broad-Spectrum Formulations:
While UVB protection is critical, many sunscreens today are broad-spectrum, meaning they protect against both UVB and UVA rays. UVA rays penetrate deeper, causing premature aging and also contributing to skin cancer. Broad-spectrum sunscreens provide more comprehensive skin protection.

SPF Ratings:
SPF indicates how long you can stay in the sun without burning compared to unprotected skin. For example, SPF 30 blocks about 97% of UVB rays, while SPF 50 blocks about 98%. Higher SPF offers slightly more protection, but no sunscreen blocks 100% of UVB rays.

Water Resistance:
