FECY Cetyl Alcohol

Cetyl AlcoholMay also be known as: 1-hexadecanol, Palmityl alcohol. Lipstick and other cosmetics use cetyl alcohol as a thickener and emulsifier to help maintain a desirable consistency and smooth texture. It is also found in some food products, especially in decorative lettering or pictures on candy or chewing gum.

The ingredient also packs softening effects to prevent skin from being dry, rough, and itchy. Due to these benefits, cetyl alcohol is safe for basically every skin type, both Peredo and Zubritsky agree. It's generally considered safe and effective with no disadvantages.
