FECY Optiphen Plus Natural Preservative

As a broad spectrum preservative, Optiphen Plus is effective against bacteria, yeasts, and molds. It can be used in both oil-water emulsions and water-oil emulsions. Optiphen Plus is a versatile preservative, effective for any emulsified skincare or hair care project with a slightly acidic pH.

Optiphen Plus preservative can be added at any phase of production. Heating processes up to 80°C are tolerated well. Optiphen Plus preservative works best when used in formulations with a pH below 6 and is compatible with most ingredients used in the personal care industry.

Formulating Guidelines: Optiphen Plus can be added to any phase of the formulation. Heat Stable up to 80°C are tolerated - can be used in O/W-emulsions as well as in W/O-emulsions. Shelf life: 12 months from the date of manufacture.

Furthermore, Optiphen has been clinically studied and does not cause cancer or reproductive harm in long-term use. Currently, the only products to contain this preservative are our lotions, and body butters, as the remainder of our products, are shelf stable for up to 2 years
