Method: cut the soap base into cubes and put into a heat resistant container. Add 1-2% pure water to compensate for moisture loss. Melt it while stirring. 
 

MICROWAVE USERS : Set the timer to 3 min and stop every 30 sec to check the soap base. Stir once or twice if required. Do not boil the soap base.
DOUBLE BOILER USERS : Melting temperature should be between 75 to 80 degree celsius. Cover the top of the utensil while melting and stir lightly in between. Once the base is melted, do not remove the utensil from heat, instead reduce the heat.

Once the base is melted, reduce the heat, add color, fragrance, essential oils, extracts or herbs then mix it and pour it into the mold of your choice. Let it cool down till room temperature. Take the soap out of the mold once set, and pack it in a foil to avoid contact with moisture. The soap is ready to use.

Storage: store in a cool place, protected from light and moisture, tightly packed.
