Roasted purple tea is a special tea produced by Roasting the leaves of purple tea in a stainless steel drum for four mins then rolled in a rolling table to produce a unique straight shape with purple color and flavour. 
 

Purple tea contain high levels of purple pigment known as the anthocyanin used to fight chronic diseases eg. heart diseases and Hypertension. Anthocyanins are thought to help protect against cancer and neurodegenerative diseases by reducing free radicals, which can harm and damage cells, resulting in illness and even certain types of cancer. Mt Kenya in its effort to meet the highest standards in its teas cultivates and processes its products using pure Kenyan Tea. This is favoured by the fact that the region is favoured by the fact that the region has deep fertile soils, high altitude and good weather conditions which inhibits the natural growth.
