: all voltages quoted are for open circuit
If you install 6 AA Alkaline or Zinc Carbon cells, it will provide 9V and the radio will not go into transmit
If you must use Alkaline or Zinc Carbon cells, use five of them and a dummy AA, this will set the output voltage to 7.5V
