Dry powder fire extinguishers can be used in a large variety of situations ie Class A,B and C fires. In Class A fires which involve flammable solids i.e textiles paper and wood, Class B fires are those that involve flammable liquids eg diesel, paint and petrol and Class C fires are those that involve Flammable gases eg butane or methane.The agent in the fire extinguisher forms a thick "blanket" over the fire , starving it from oxygen and extinguishing it   They can be used in garage forecourts, commercial boiler rooms and large workshops. The fire extinguisher is a versatile piece of fire safety equipment.

1Kg ABC dry powder fire extinguisher is a multi-purpose extinguisher ideal for domestic use and suitable on (Class A, B and C) fires involving combustible solids, flammable liquids and gases. The highly-rated extinguishant is Mono-Ammonium Phosphate, which is a fine powder that can knock down flames quickly and protect users against the radiant heat from a fire.

Whilst it is safe for use on electrical fires, it should be noted that it can cause contamination of sensitive equipment / environments and corrosion of electrical components if not meticulously cleaned.

Manufactured in accordance with EN3, this extinguisher also carries the CE mark and is independently tested to BSI (British Standards Institution).
