This cable combines the left and right stereo signal of a source with a stereo output of 3.5 mm to a single mono power supply, it is an asymmetrical cable, the channels L and R are welded together to form a mono signal towards the pin XLR 2, the pin XLR 1 and the pin 3 are shortened to ground, it is not suitable for most "symmetrical" applications (see diagram)
