Double wall socket RJ45 CAT6

Used for - These front plates are ideal for cables that circulate between the rooms located under the floors and behind the walls. The front plate is mounted on a standard rear box using the supplied mounting screws, such as an antenna socket or power outlet. The wires can be attached to the sockets at the back of the sockets in a few minutes, using an IDC termination tool which is a small technician tool to guide the wires in small sockets.

Using IDC connectors on the socket means that the connector itself perforates the plastic insulation of the wire when it is depressed, making it easy to install. The color code on the back of each socket is an easy alternative to complex wiring schemes.

Installation - After installing a CAT6 cable between the two points of your wall, strip a short section of the insulation of the external cable and follow the color-coded labels on the socket (see photo) to depress each internal wire into the corresponding connection. The color-coded wiring on the back of the sockets is TIA/EIA-568-B, if you want to wire in TIA/EIA-568-A, a wiring diagram can be easily obtained online.

Wiring - Depending on the application in which you want to use it, the socket can be wired in the "right" or "cross" configurations.

“Cross” cables are usually used to connect two computers directly to each other, without using a hub or router. They use TIA/EIA-568-A wiring at one end and TIA/EIA-568-B at the other end.

“Right” cables can be used to connect a PC or game console to a hub/router or, in conjunction with AV extension devices, for audio and video distribution in a home or commercial project. To create a “right” cable, it must be wired using the same wiring variant at both ends. Either “TIA / EIA-568-A to TIA / EIA-568-A” or “TIA / EIA-568-B to TIA / EIA-568-B”
