Arabic is one of the most ancient languages of the world. Its history dates hack .

(PBUH). But many sources state that the first person to speak Arabic language
was Ishmael, the son of Abraham (PBUH). ArabiC has since then grown to become
one of the widely spoken languages in the world and is currently ranked amone

Arabic is now spoken in more than 25 countries of the world as the first or second
national language. These countries include Asian countries like Pakistan,
Afghanistan, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Yemen, Jordan, Qatar, Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. African countries like: Algeria, Morocco, Chad, Comoros,
Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Libya, Mauritania and Tunisia also speak Arabic.
This means that someone with Arabic language skills has a great chance of getting
Arabic related job opportunities in their country and abroad.
In Kenya as per now, Arabic is used in the Government by the Police industry,
military, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Trade, and in
the department of lImmigration. It is also taught as a subject in all educational
levels in Kenya, and in the private sector such as in the aviation industries due to
the over flow of Arab tourists into the country.
In short, anyone who masters Arabic language living in non-Arab countries will
never suffer from unemployment due to the great demand of the language
worldwide.
Lastly, Arabic is an easy language to learn because many languages have
borrowed a lot from Arabic e.g. English has borrowed words like: Geography,
Algebra, Physics, and Cup etc. Kiswahili has borrowed more than 40% e.g. Waziri,
Rais, Kitabu, Kalamu, Swahili, Jabali, Karatasi, Ardhi, and Bahari among many
others.
