HOW TO MIX COLORS:

Add a little water to mix. Red and blue become purple: red and yellow become orange; blue and yellow become green. These are the secondory colours. It is important to experiment with mixtures as much as possible, so os to get the feel of the paint. Be careful not to over-mix: three or more colours mixced together will look muddy.

Now mix some white into the colours, to produce tints. Adding water to them mokes them transparent. Paint them out onto paper to see how they look, and experiment with different degrees of tint and transparency. If you want to mix a neutral secondary or neutral colours, mixing colours that contain the opposite or complementary colour on the colour wheel will give a muted or even muddy result.
