Some friends asked if the sensor supports measuring soil absolute humidity values. Let me explain briefly: Absolute humidity values refer to air, indicating the mass of water contained in one cubic meter of air. However, this indicator cannot be measured in soil due to uneven water dissolution in soil, making it of no discussion value.This board can roughly measure humidity and decide whether to turn on or off watering equipment based on humidity conditions; sensitivity can be roughly adjusted using an electric switch.The product has sold many sets; its quality is stable and trustworthy!
 

This product does not require programming and does not include a microcontroller, so please do not force us to provide codes.

 This product does not come with a power supply; you can use a power bank (5V DC) as a power source or use a 4-cell AA battery box with 4 batteries installed for power supply

 

About testing each part:

1. Test Relay Module: Connect the relay module's VCC to 5V, GND to ground, and if IN is connected to GND, the relay will jump; if IN is left floating, the relay will reset. Repeat this to hear the relay click sound

2. Test the soil moisture sensor module: Connect the fork probe and transmitter module with two Dupont wires. Connect the transmitter module's VCC to 5V and GND to ground. As soon as power is applied, the red power light stays on steadily, while the green (blue) indicator light flashes once faintly; insert the fork probe directly into the water, and the green (blue) indicator light turns on

3. Connect the red wire of the water pump to 5V and the black wire to ground. The water pump will work. Please note that testing for 1 second is sufficient; do not expose it to air for extended periods

4. Just assemble according to the diagram.

Note:

1. This product can be used without welding, but you need to strip the wires, twist them together, and protect with black tape

2. The water pump cannot operate in the air for a long time;


3. The system is connected well, powered on, and the pump keeps working. This is correct because in air, the probe cannot detect humidity, so the pump keeps working. Once properly installed in a flower pot, there won't be any issues.
