From the Manufacturer: For optimal use, trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each lighting. Burn for a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 4 hours at a time. Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar to prevent tunneling. Never leave a burning candle unattended.Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Let it cool for at least 2 hours before relighting. Stop use when only 1/2 inch (12 mm) of wax remains to prevent heat damage to the container or surface. Store the candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or intense light to prevent warping and discoloration. Cover the candle with a lid or foil to keep dust and debris out. To clean the candle jar, use a damp, soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasives. Do not use the candle if the container is cracked, chipped, or damaged in any way. If the flame becomes too high, extinguish the candle, let it cool, trim the wick, and then relight.
