9u-7227 Injector Height Tool USE INSRCTION: 1. When you finish the valve adjustments tothe injector height, you can use the tool to accurately adjust the injectorheight to 78.0 +/- 0.2 mm (3.07 +/- 0.01 inch). TIP: The dimension is measured from the topof the unit injector to the machined ledge of the fuel injector body. 2. Tighten lock-nut to a torque of 100 +/- 10N·m (74 +/- 7 lb ft).

USE INSRUCTION:1. Remove the plug from either the left or right side timing accessholes.2. To install, hand tighten the J42083 Automatic Timing Pin Lock intothe timing access hole.3. Preload the spring on the automatic timing lock by pushing the slidehandle forward and turn it clockwise to engage either of the two locking slots.4. Manually, turn engine in direction of rotation(usually counterclockwise refer to Caterpillar Service Manual)until a notice "click" sound isheard.5. The automatic timing pin plunger has now engaged the flywheel timingholes in either the top center compression or exhaust stroke.6. To remove, turn slide handle counter clockwise to release springtension on the plunger (if plunger doesn't retract from flywheel with lightpressure, jog the flywheel back and forth). Unscrew from flywheel housing.
J-38587-A Engine Barring Socket USE INSRUCTION: 1. Insert the tool into the flywheel housing until it engages the ringgear. 2. Then attach a 1/2-Inch square drive ratchet or breaker bar and turn.
