Radiator stop leak is a liquid additive designed to seal small leaks in a vehicle cooling system, particularly in the radiator, hoses and the heater core or the water pump. Its formulated to temporary or permanently seal small cracks and holes in the cooling system to prevent coolant from leaking. This radiator stop leak contains particles that are suspended in the solution which can flow through the cooling system and settle into cracks or gaps. These sealing agents are often heat activated hence they begin to work when exposed to high temperature inside the radiator. This radiator stop leak often works with most types of coolants and antifreeze mixtures. Radiator stop leak is a convenient, affordable and quick fix for minor leaks in the cooling system hence its used as a temporary measure until more permanent repairs can be made.
