Detailed Information About The Product:

This is the Plastic Connector "Coupling" that resides between the electric motor and the transmission drive gear housing.
It is designed to be a safety shear pin but commonly breaks mainly due to age.
It is designed to snap if there is too much resistance on the seat track instead of cracking the plastic transmission housing or putting to much strain on the electric motor to a point where it overheats or blows a fuse.
Chances are if you hear the motor running when you activate the switch and the seat does not move that this coupling has failed.
Molded in Clear / White Plastic with a Stronger Resin but still will snap in the event of a problem.

It is a much better quality plastic with a higher resin base.

Attention:
Our design was copied incorrectly resulting in potential seat transmission failures which forced us to change the color of ours to more of a clearer plastic instead of white so that we can distinguish ours from the counterfeit. If you can not grab with both hands and flex it will destroy your power seat transmission.
A design change took p in most 1987 & newer models which utilized 3 separate electric motors instead of one which rep d the transmission & coupling set up.
This coupling is intended for models with one electric motor set up.
