1. The high carbon steel edges are heat treated at precise temperatures in order to create an edge that does not push fabric as it cuts regardless type of fabric, thick or thin.
2. Will not brittle or break at any impact.
3. Edge side material must be different from body side material(Two different steels laminated together through forging-one hard layer for long lasting quality against  friction  and one softer layer that will not brittle while maintaining flexibility.)
4. The thickness of the two tips of the scissors must be same.
5. The force needed to open or close the scissors must be consistent from wide open 
   to a complete close. 
6. The bolt and nut must be precisely machined to prevent loosening during operation-
    once the tension is set, it never changes.
7.  Handle must be comfortably shaped and the surface must be smooth.
8. Overall shape of the handles and cutting area must be well balanced for the weight 
9. Approach blade to grinding stone at a 45 degree angle.
10. Continue grinding with water until you see some peels form on the back of the 
11. After grinding, open and close several times and then turn the bolt to adjust the 
    tension
12.  Apply oil lightly on the cutting area and lap with an oiled
