SEQUENCE DICE Board Game

Sequence Dice is a new approach to the classic Sequence game play.  Rather than cards, each player is rolling two dice in order to place chips on a board.  Just like in the classic game, players are trying to create a row of chips to build a sequence.  The first person or team to successfully build a sequence wins the game. 

The game comes with a gameboard, 2 six sided dice, and 60 marking chips.   

The board has thirty-six spaces with numbers 3 – 9.  The corners of the board can be claimed by rolling two 1’s, and the four center spaces are claimed by rolling two 6’s.   

There are three different colors of marking chips: red, blue, and green.  For a two and four player game, only two colors are used.  In a three player game, all three colors will be used. 

For a 2 or 3 player game, each player takes all the chips of a single color.  A 4 player game is played in partnerships.  Each team will use one color.  Also, in a team game, players should seat themselves alternating according to team.   

Place the game board in the center of the table, so it can be reached by all of the players.

To determine who goes first, each player rolls the dice.  The highest number rolled gets to go first.   

On a player’s turn, they roll both dice.  After adding up the total of both dice, the player may place a chip on a corresponding space with the same number.  If there is not a space available with that number, they do not get to place a chip. 

When 10 is rolled, that player must remove one of their opponent’s chips from the board.  They cannot remove a chip from a 2 or a 12 space.  If there are no chips that can be removed from the board, that player’s turn ends. 

Rolling an 11 is a wild roll.  The player can place a chip on any empty space on the board.  If all of the spaces are filled, the player may replace one of their opponent’s chips with their own. 

If a 2 or a 12 is rolled, that player gets to claim one of those spaces, and they also get to take another turn.
