Sporekill Fungicide is a powerful agricultural disinfectant and plant sanitizer that helps control a wide range of pathogenic microorganisms, including fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Developed by Hygrotech South Africa (Pty) Ltd., Sporekill is widely used by farmers to protect their crops from harmful spores and ensure healthy plant growth. This fungicide is known for its broad-spectrum disinfectant properties, making it a reliable choice for maintaining crop health.
Didecyldimethylammonium Chloride: 120g/L
Didecyldimethylammonium chloride is a quaternary ammonium compound that exhibits strong disinfectant properties. It works by disrupting the cell membranes of microorganisms, leading to their death. This active ingredient is effective against a variety of pathogens, making Sporekill a versatile fungicide.
Contact Active: Sporekill acts as a contact active liquid agricultural disinfectant and plant sanitizer. It effectively kills pathogenic microorganisms on contact, preventing the spread of diseases.
Sanitizing Irrigation Water: Sporekill can be used to sanitize irrigation water, ensuring that it remains free from harmful pathogens. This helps prevent the introduction of diseases to crops through contaminated water sources.
Sporekill Fungicide is effective against a wide range of pathogens, including:
Fungal spores
Bacterial spores
Viral spores
Foliage Spray: Apply at a rate of 500 – 1500 L spray mixture per hectare, depending on plant size. Higher volumes per hectare are necessary for tree crops. Ensure that both upper and lower leaf surfaces are treated thoroughly.
General Sanitation: Sporekill can be used for general sanitation purposes, including sanitizing equipment, surfaces, and structures in agricultural settings. This helps maintain a clean and disease-free environment for crops.
Not Compatible with Anionic Compounds: Sporekill should not be mixed with concentrated anionic compounds, as this can reduce its effectiveness.
Hydroponic Systems: Sporekill is not recommended for use in irrigation water in circulating hydroponic systems where no organic growing medium is present. In such systems, alternative disinfectants may be more suitable.
Stable and Effective: Sporekill remains active as long as it is in solution, providing continuous protection against pathogens. Its effectiveness is not dependent on pH levels, making it a reliable choice in various conditions.
Wetting Characteristics: Sporekill has wetting characteristics, which enhance its ability to cover treated surfaces thoroughly. This ensures that all parts of the plant or surface are adequately protected from pathogens.
When handling and applying Sporekill, it is essential to follow safety guidelines to protect yourself and the environment:
Wear Protective Gear: Use gloves, protective clothing, and eye protection to avoid direct contact with the fungicide. This helps prevent skin and eye irritation.
Avoid Inhalation: Use a mask or respirator to prevent inhalation of the fungicide. Inhalation of the product can cause respiratory irritation.
Proper Storage: Store the fungicide in a cool, dry place away from food, feed, and water sources. Ensure it is out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidental exposure.
