Automatic calibration, easy to use: Turn on the stud finder, lay it flat on the wall, press the scan button, and it's ready for calibration. The smart micro sensor chip flashes and beeps when hidden wood, metal and AC lines are found.

LCD display and audible warning: The signal bar on the LCD display alerts you to the distance and direction of approaching objects and beeps to determine the location. This LCD display is also backlit which can provide clear display even in low light conditions.

Wire warning indication: When you scan in stud scan/depth scan/metal scan mode, the wire warning stays on to alert you to the presence of live AC , which helps you avoid hazards when installing TVs, bathroom cabinets, picture frames, and garage shelves.
