This adapter allows you to add an additional HDD/SSD SATA hard disk in your laptop. Compatible with SATA or SSD hard drives in the 2.5-inch format. The bay plays only the role of physical connection. There is no problem of compatibility in itself. The problems of compatibility occurs only between hard disk and card Mother. It's better for old laptops to use with HDD, because it can happen that the motherboard of the computer is not compatible with SSDs.
