5 LED lights will indicate the percentage of moisture content in brake fluid:Brake fluid detection pen is based on the change in conductivity to determine the moisture change brake fluid. It shows clearly the extent of moisture contained by the light-emitting diode, high moisture content will lead to lower boiling point, affect braking performance.Red indicates the brake fluid needs immediate replacement; green represents good condition; yellow indicates the state is acceptable but soon replaced.- Green: None (Battery OK, brake fluid does not contain water)
- Green/Yellow: < 1% (Good brake fluid performance, ease of use)
- Green /Yellow/Yellow: ≈ 2% (Brake fluid can continue to use)
- Green/Yellow/Yellow/Red: ≈ 3% (Recommended to change the brake fluid)
- Green/Yellow/Yellow/Red/Red: ≈ 4% (Dangerous! Must change the brake fluid immediately!)
High Precision Probe for accurate testsThe probes and pen cap use more durable materials to make them not easy to loosen and fall.Changing the placement position of the batteries and button, which makes them easier to replace and better protected.
Easy to use:Press the switch to turn on brake fluid tester, the green LED light indicates that the battery properly. Note: Please replace the battery (LR44*2) if the green LED light are not lights up when you press the button.Unscrew the lid of the brake fluid reservoir, then take off the cap of the brake fluid tester.Dip the probes into brake fluid for one second and the LED lights will indicate the percentage of moisture content in brake fluid. Finally repress the button for power off. OR it will automatically power off after about 15 seconds of inactivity. Please remember to screw the lid of the brake fluid reservoir back on tightly after done.
NOTES:
Wash the test probes with tap water after every use and dry it with a dry cloth or paper. In case of skin contact with brake fluid, thoroughly wash the affected skin or clothing with water.Do not expose brake fluid to the atmosphere for a long time as it is highly Hygroscopic.
