X1003 is a PCleM.2 NVMe protocol M.2 solid-state drive expansion board specially designed for Raspberry Pi 5 and equipped with for Raspberry Pi 5 official heat sink. It supports NVMe protocol M.2 interface hard drives, high-speed reading and writing, and Data transfer and ultra-fast startup
The X1003 hardware has no limit on NVME SSD capacity, depending on for Raspberry Pi operating system.
Compatible with for Raspberry Pi 5 active cooler and the official red and white case, but in order to install the X1003, you need to remove the fan layer on the top of the case.

Other NVMe SSD drives feature the same Phison controller
These specific models have demonstrated compatibility issues and it is recommended to avoid them when considering the X10xx series NVMe expansion boards.
