Compatible with for Raspberry Pi 5B and supports expansion of other HATs of for Raspberry Pi; Supports simultaneous connection of 2.5-inch SATA hard disk and M.2 2280 SATA SSD.
Compliant with Serial ATA 3.0 specification, backward compatible with SATA 2.0 and SATA 1.0; Supports HAT+ STANDBY power state, automatically shuts down SATA devices when Pi5 is powered off.
Supports communication rates of 5.0 Gbit/s, 3.0 Gbit/s and 1.5 Gbit/s; Compatible with SATA 6G, 3G, 1.5G hard disks.
Support dual hard drives - can connect SATA2.5-inch hard drives and SATA M.2 KEY-B 2280 solid-state drives at the same time, not compatible with M.2 NVMe SSDs, M.2 PCle AHCl SSDs or other M.2 non-sata devices, and does not support booting from HDD/SSD using existing firmware.

X1006 is designed for data storage purposes and does not currently support booting from HDD/SSD using existing firmware.

New hard drives do not have partitions and need to be partitioned and formatted when used for the first time before they can be accessed in Explorer.

X1006 is a PCIe to SATA HDD/SSD expansion board designed for Raspberry Pi 5. It supports SATA 2.5-inch hard disks and SATA M.2 KEY-B 2280 solid-state drives, providing large-capacity storage and high-speed storage solutions for Raspberry Pi 5, giving full play to its storage capacity. The SATA 3.0 interface speed can reach up to 5Gbps.
X1006 is installed at the bottom of the for Raspberry Pi 5 and will not affect the use of GPIO. It is convenient to expand other HATs. In addition, X1006 and the hard disk are powered by the for Raspberry Pi 5 through the 4 pins on the board, simplifying the power supply without the need for extra power.
