This CR2032 3V Button Cell Battery is normally called as the coin cell as the size and shape is similar to a coin. The code CR2032 tells us the diameter and the width of the cell. The diameter is 20mm whereas the width is 3.2mm. Made of stainless steel with nickel plating, these batteries can safely power devices for up to 3 years. Stable manganese dioxide is used as the positive electrode and lithium metal used as negative electrode. The battery has a very low self-discharge which prolongs its shelf life.
