Profile 440EC is a broad-spectrum insecticide designed to control a variety of pests in edible crops and ornamentals. It combines the efficacy of two active ingredients, Cypermethrin and Profenofos, to provide rapid knockdown and long-lasting residual control. This versatile insecticide is ideal for use in various agricultural settings, including vegetable farms, ornamental gardens, and large-scale plantations.
Active Ingredients:
Cypermethrin (40 g/L): A pyrethroid insecticide that acts as a sodium channel modulator, causing rapid paralysis and death in target pests.
Profenofos (400 g/L): A phenyl organothiophosphate insecticide that works as an acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor, disrupting nerve function in pests and leading to their elimination.
Profile 440EC works through both contact and ingestion, ensuring comprehensive pest control. The combination of Cypermethrin and Profenofos provides a dual mode of action:
Contact Action: When pests come into contact with the insecticide, the active ingredients penetrate their exoskeleton and interfere with their nervous system.
Stomach Action: Upon ingestion, the active ingredients disrupt the normal functioning of the pests’ digestive and nervous systems, leading to paralysis and death.
Profile 440EC is effective against a wide range of pests, including:
Aphids
Thrips
Whiteflies
Spider mites
Caterpillars
Stem borers
Leaf rollers
Broad Spectrum: Controls both sucking and chewing pests, providing comprehensive protection for crops.
Long Residual Activity: Offers extended protection, reducing the need for frequent applications and saving time and resources.
Compatibility: Compatible with most commonly used pesticides and liquid fertilizers, allowing for easy integration into existing pest management programs.
Non-Phytotoxic: Safe for plants when used as recommended, ensuring that the crops remain healthy and productive.
Dosage:
Foliar Spray: Apply 1-1.5 ml per liter of water.
Crop-Specific Rates:
Roses, Carnations, Tomatoes, Cucumber, Potatoes, Capsicum: 1-1.5 L/ha in 1000 L of water (20-30 ml per 20 L).

Rice, Maize: 1-1.5 L/ha in 1000 L of water (20-30 ml per 20 L).
Timing: Apply at the first signs of pest infestation or during the insect egg hatch peak period. Repeat applications at 14-day intervals if necessary.
