Mode of Action

Thiocyclam oxyacid oxalate is a nereistoxin analogue insecticide with contact and stomach actions, which acts by blocking the synapsis of the central nervous system.

Taurus 500SP is a highly effective insecticide widely used for controlling a range of destructive sucking pests, including aphids, thrips, whiteflies, and Tuta absoluta. Its active ingredient, Thiocyclam hydroogen oxalate (500g/kg), is part of the nereistoxin analogue chemical group. This compound targets the central nervous system of pests, rendering them immobile and eventually leading to their death. Its dual mode of action—both contact and stomach—ensures that the pests are efficiently managed.

This insecticide is formulated as a water-soluble powder (SP), which makes it convenient to mix and use as a foliar spray. Taurus 500SP is compatible with many crops, including tomatoes, onions, peppers, melons, and ornamentals, making it a versatile option for both small-scale and large-scale farming operations.
