It’s highly durable because its fibres are pretty sturdy and rugged. Its colouring is also appealing as it comes in distinct tan, beige, and creamy white colours that naturally blend with your colour palette.

As a natural fibre, sisal is non-toxic and suitable for anyone with allergies and asthma as it also contributes to the air quality of your living spaces.

It’s biodegradable, so you don’t have to worry about its disposal when its time is done. What’s more, sisal is super absorbent and resists static, so it is not easily flammable.

On the downside, its absorbent quality and colouring mean it’s prone to staining, and it can’t be wet shampooed or steam cleaned.

Its rugged and sturdy fibres can also feel rough to the touch, so this isn’t suitable for you if fluffy softness is your priority.
