SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND PRECAUTIONS

1.The appliance is not designed to be used by children or those with

physical,sensory or mental disabilities,unless when someone responsible for

their safety will monitor and guide them on the use of the appliance.Children

should be taken care of to make sure they don't play with the appliance.

2.This product is for household use only.Donot use it for commercial purposes.

3.Before turning on power,check and make sure the voltage of power supply is

consistent with the rated voltage of the kettle (as marked on the bottom of the

kettle). the voltages are not consistent,do not use the kettle;please contact

withvendor.

4.When filling water into the kettle,or when the kettle is empty,being cleaned or

notin use,please power off the kettle and unplug the plug.

5.Don't exceed the maximum water mark,otherwise danger may arise when

boiling water spills and failure may be caused when water flows into the

thermostat.

6.Boiling water may spit out if the water is too full in the kettle.

7.Please use the product onahorizontal plane.

8.Hanging power cords can cause accidents.When heating water,it is

suggested to place the kettle near a wall socket whenever possible so as to

avoid the kettle being tripped down and that someone gets scalded by

boiling water.

9.To avoid scalding, make sure the lid has been properly placed on the

kettle before the kettleisused.

10.During heating,do not open the lid or move the kettle,otherwise you might

be scalded.

11.To prevent electrical shock, do not immerse the product and the power

cord into anyliquid.

12.When room temperature is below zero degrees centigrade, don't always

have power plug connected to the kettle,otherwise thermostat may

automatically reset to auseelements toheatup.

13.In case of product failure or damage,do not repair it by yourself.You can

send it for maintenance at an after-sales service center of our company.

14.If the power cord is damaged,to avoid danger,it must be replaced by a

qualified professional from the manufacturer,a professional repair service or

a similar department.

15.Dry heat(heating without water)is not allowed.Beforeuse,please make

sure there s appropriate amount of water in the kettle.

16.When the kettle is not in use,please switch off the electricity.

17.When cleaning the kettle,please take off the base first.The bottom and

base must be wiped drybeforereuse.Itisnotallowed to be immersed into

water to clean.

18.This product must be used with the base provided by our company.

19.This product can only be used to heat water.It cannot be used for other

purposes. You cannot add instant drinks,coffee,soup,milk or any other

substances into water. 

20.When the waterboils,don't open the lid

immediately.

BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Thanks for purchasing your Hanmac product. Please read these instructions carefully 
beforeusing the product and retain for future reference.
2. Remove all packaging and labels.
3. Wrap any excess cord around the bracket on the underside of the powerbase.
4. Fill water to "Max", boil, then pour the water away. Repeat for 3 to 4 times 
tocompletely eliminate dust caused in production or storage.

USAGE

1. Put the power base on an even place.

2. Open the lid and fill the kettle with water. The water level must not be higher than

"Max”

Caution: too much water may cause overflowing boiling water.

3. Close the lid and fit the kettle on power base.

4. Plug in and switch on. The iluminated power indicator shows that the kettle works

well.

5. After boiling, the kettle will automatically shut itself off and the power indicator wil

gooff, too. To reboil, wait a few seconds, the power switch needs time to reset.

Caution: never open the lid when the kettle is operating, and watch out the steam

afterwater boiling.

6. Make sure the kettle is unplugged until next use.

Descaling the kettle
Depending on the water hardness in your area, scale may build up inside the kettle 
over time. Scale may affect the performance of the kettle. Descale the kettle regularly 
by following the instructions in this user manual.
We recommend the following descaling frequency:
Once every 3 months for soft water areas (up to 18dH).
Once every month for hard water areas (more than 18dH).
Use white vinegar (4% acetic acid) in step 

5. Rinse the kettle and then boil twice 
(steps9-11) to remove all vinegar.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION

This kettle is equipped with boil-dry protection: it switches off automatically if

youaccidentally switch it on with no or not enough water in it. Let the kettle cool down

for10 minutes and then lift the kettle off its base. Then the kettle is ready for use again. 

How to remove scale

In order to keep good working condition of the kettle, you will need to remove scale

from time to time. If it happens frequently that the kettle powers off automatically

before water boils, it means it is time for you to remove scale. You can use one of

the following methods to remove scale:

1. Use a scale removing product specially designed for kettles.Then proceed

following the instructions of the product.

2.Add 0.5 liter of 8-degree white vinegar (it contains 8% acetic acid) into the kettle,

eave it there for 1 hour and then pour out the white vinegar and clean the kettle with

clean water for 4-5 times.

3.Add 0.5 liter ofwater,and then add 25g of citric acid, heat it and soak it there for

15 minutes.Then clean the kettle with clean water for 4-5times.

How to clean kettle

1.Before cleaning thekettle,unplug the powerplug and let the kettle cool.

2.Don'timmerse the kettle, power cord, power plug or power supply base in water.

3.Ensure that the electrical wiring is dry.

4.Avoid collision or scratch of kettle case by sharp objects.

5. Use a wet cloth to wipe kettle case and base. Do not use other products, such as

washing powder or cleansing cream,as they will damage the luster of the case.
