It helps transfer heat away from the engine and prevent freezing or corrosion inside the radiator and cooling systems. This radiator coolant is a mixture of ethylene glycol and propylene glycol which are essential for antifreeze properties and water with and have added corrosion inhibitors to protect engine components.
