Robodog by David Walliams is a fun and action-packed children's book set in the city of Bedlam, which is plagued by crime and disorder. The city's Police Chief, desperate to solve the growing problem, asks her wife, a brilliant Professor, to create the perfect crime-fighting dog—a robot dog named Robodog. Unlike regular police dogs, Robodog can fly, swim underwater, blow up bmbs with his laser eye, and perform many incredible feats.

The arrival of Robodog causes tension, especially with the Chief and Professor's cat, Velma, who is fiercely jealous and tries to sabotage him. As crime escalates with villains escaping prison, Robodog must team up with other dogs, a peculiar rat who insists he is a mouse, and the so-called "Lost Patrol" to stop the baddies and save the city.
