Royal BUTTERNUT WALTHAM (PUMPKIN)

This vegetable seed produces tasty butternuts with creamy tanned skin and rich-orange flesh. Growing Tips: Direct seed, or set out transplants after last frost date. Harvest time will also vary by type.  Butternut Waltham is a type of winter squash that was introduced by Bob Young of Waltham, Massachusetts in 1970. It is still the benchmark for large butternuts and has larger fruits with small seed cavities and thick, straight, cylindrical necks. The flesh has a smooth texture and sweet flavor, particularly after 2 months of storage.
