To use this scarlet Hand Mixer,first make sure that the mixer is unplugged and the speed is on low before you insert the beaters. When you're ready to mix, plug the mixer in, place the beaters into the bowl, and start the speed control button at 1. Then slowly increase to your desired mixing speed.

6 Medium speed stirring cream and butter etc
