From the Manufacturer: <p><br />For optimal use, trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each lighting. Burn for a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 4 hours at a time. Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar to prevent tunneling. Never leave a burning candle unattended.</p><ul><li>Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Let it cool for at least 2 hours before relighting.</li><li>Stop use when only 1/2 inch (12 mm) of wax remains to prevent heat damage to the container or surface.</li><li>Store the candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or intense light to prevent warping and discoloration.</li><li>Cover the candle with a lid or foil to keep dust and debris out.</li><li>To clean the candle jar, use a damp, soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasives.</li><li>Do not use the candle if the container is cracked, chipped, or damaged in any way.</li><li>If the flame becomes too high, extinguish the candle, let it cool, trim the wick, and then relight.</li></ul>
