For internal consumption here are different ways of consuming fenugreek seeds:
Dry roast fenugreek seeds on medium-high heat for one to two minutes, Stir frequently and add 1 teaspoon over curries , salads and stir-fry dishes.
Soak 1 teaspoon overnight in water and gulp the next morning with 1 glass water
Sprout fenugreek seeds by soaking them in water overnight , keeping them in a jar covered with a cloth for few days until tiny green shoots appear. The sprouted fenugreek seeds can be added to any kind of salads.
Herbal teas made with fenugreek seeds, lemon and honey is an effective remedy used to treat fevers.
Fenugreek seeds powder is excellent in removing dead cells and blackheads from the skin. Fenugreek is also a natural hair conditioner, helps to manage dry, frizzy hair, gives hair a luster and nourishes the scalp.
For internal consumption: As a health supplement, take 1 tablespoon of powder with warm water/ fenugreek tea in the morning before having breakfast.
Add honey or lime juice in your tea.
Add ¼ to ½ tsp of powder in curry pastes, soups, pasta or stews, pickles. Sprinkle the powder over salad, rice, and other dishes.
External use: Mix fenugreek powder with water to make the paste and use it as face mask and hair mask.
Hair mask for dandruff: Mix 1 tbs of Fenugreek powder with 3 tbs of amla powder and necessary amount of water to make paste like consistency. Apply to the scalp and hair roots.
Conditioning hair mask: Mix 1 tbs of fenugreek powder with 1 tbs of yogurt, add necessary water to make a paste. Apply to hair, leave mask for an hour. Thoroughly wash it of with mild shampoo using warm water.
