✅ What this model does well

Good sound + balanced tuning — It uses 30 mm dynamic drivers and Sony’s “Integrated Processor V1” + “DSEE” upscaling for music, giving fairly balanced, clear audio that works across many genres. Sony 

Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) — It has hybrid ANC (with Dual Noise Sensor + V1 chip) that significantly reduces ambient, low-frequency noise (like traffic or office hum). 

Battery life & usability — Up to ~35 hours playback with ANC on (and ~50 hrs without). Also supports Bluetooth 5.2, multipoint (two devices at once), wired 3.5 mm option, and fast charging (a short 3-min charge gives ~1 hr of playback)

Comfort & portability (sort of) — Lightweight (~192 g) with padded earcups and a soft headband — comfortable enough for long listening sessions or travel.

⚠️ What to know / potential drawbacks

ANC not flagship-level — The noise cancellation works, but it’s not on par with premium models (like Sony’s top-end headphones). It may struggle with voices or very loud, varied noise. 

Build & features are “mid-range” — The build relies on lighter plastics (not premium materials), there’s no wear-detection, no touch controls or advanced features like “Speak-to-Chat” or “Quick Attention.”

No hi-res wireless codecs — It supports SBC and AAC. It doesn’t support LDAC or premium lossless codecs over Bluetooth, which limits audio fidelity compared with high-end sets. 

Portability could be better — Though earcups swivel, the headsets don’t fold compactly, and they don’t come with a hard carrying case (unlike premium models), so transporting them safely requires care.
