What’s good about WH-CH720N

Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) — Uses Sony’s “Integrated Processor V1” and “Dual Noise Sensor” tech to reduce ambient noise (traffic, office noise, etc.).  

Sound quality — 30 mm dynamic drivers + Sony’s “Digital Sound Enhancement Engine” (DSEE) help deliver balanced, fairly detailed audio. 

Long battery life — Up to 35 hours with ANC on, 50 hours with ANC off. Quick-charge: ~3 minutes gives ~1 hour playback, full charge ~3.5 hours.  

Comfort & portability — Very lightweight (~192 g) and over-ear design makes them comfortable for long sessions. 

Multipoint Bluetooth 5.2 — Can pair to two devices at once (e.g. phone + laptop), and switch automatically when a call/game/music comes from either. B&H Photo Video+1

Extras — Built-in mic (for calls), ambient sound mode (should you want to hear surroundings), wired listening possible via 3.5 mm jack.

⚠️ What to know — limitations / possible downsides

ANC is decent but not “flagship-grade”. It does a good job with low-frequency noise (traffic, hum) — but may struggle with higher-frequency or unpredictable noise. 

Some users report that if the ear-cup seal isn’t perfect (e.g. wearing glasses, or fit isn’t snug), ANC works worse. Reddit+1

Build and materials are “mid-range” — good but not premium. Some have criticized padding quality or long-term comfort in very long sessions. 

They don’t fold up — so traveling / packing them takes a bit more room
