Angels & Demons

In this earlier novel, Langdon is called to CERN to investigate the murder of physicist Leonardo Vetra, whose body is branded with the symbol of the Illuminati, a supposedly extinct secret anti-religion group. The stolen antimatter from Leonardo’s lab threatens to destroy Vatican City. Langdon and physicist Vittoria race against time through Rome to stop the explosion and save kidnapped cardinals, unraveling clues linked to the Illuminati’s path. The novel explores the conflict between science and religion, filled with historical symbols, rituals, and a high-stakes rescue mission. It ends with the revelation of the true Illuminati mastermind and themes of faith and reason.​
