Step 1: Unpack the TP-Link RE305 Wi-Fi Extender and check if all the components are included in the package. The package should include the extender and a quick installation guide.

Step 2: Plug the RE305 extender into an electrical outlet near your existing wireless router. Make sure the location of the outlet is within range of your router’s Wi-Fi signal.

Step 3: Wait for the power LED on the extender to turn solid green. This indicates that the extender is ready to be configured.

Step 4: Connect your computer or mobile device to the extender's Wi-Fi network. You can find the network name and password on the extender's label.

Step 5: Open a web browser and enter the web address http://tplinkrepeater.net into the address bar. If the web address doesn't work, try entering http://192.168.0.254 instead.

Step 6: You will be prompted to enter the login credentials. By default, the username and password are both “admin”. Click on “Log In” to proceed.

Step 9: The extender will now ask you to create a new network name and password for the extended Wi-Fi network. You can choose to keep the same network name and password as your existing network or create a new one.

Step 10: Once you have entered the new network name and password, click “Save”. The extender will now reboot and apply the new settings.

Step 11: Once the extender has rebooted, connect your devices to the extended Wi-Fi network using the new network name and password.
