Clarification

 

There is a difference between manufacturer and your PC operating system capacity calculations.

Manufacturer consider decimal arithmetic: 1 MB = 1000 KB, 1 GB = 1000 MB.
On the other hand, the operating system uses binary arithmetic: 1 MB = 1024 KB, 1 GB = 1024 MB.
