This is a synthetic dual clutch (DSG / DCT) transmission fluid designed for use in VW / Audi (and related VW Group), Ford, Volvo & BMW dual-clutch gearboxes. It provides lubrication, friction modulation (for the clutch plates), wear protection, thermal stability and oxidation resistance. Some marketing / supply names use it under “DSG fluid,” “dual clutch transmission fluid,” or “gear / differential oil for DSG.”
