We are extremely disappointed with Jumia regarding Order Number 346858817 (55" Vitron TV). This has been one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve had, despite being loyal customers for over 4 years and spending over KSh 2,000,000 on the platform. Customer care is unacceptable—we were disconnected twice while trying to resolve our issue. We received the TV on 12th Feb 2026 and tested it on 13th Feb, only to find it was not compatible with our PS5. We confirmed this by testing the same PS5 on a 43" Ailyons TV, which worked perfectly. Clearly, the issue is with the Vitron TV. We returned the TV on 14th Feb via a Jumia pickup station, and the return was confirmed. However, the status stayed “under review” for nearly two weeks. On 28th Feb, we were told the return was rejected and the TV sent back—without a proper explanation. After receiving it, we tested again and confirmed the same issue. We even recorded videos showing the Vitron failing and the Ailyons working, then returned it again. Despite this, there was no coordination from customer service. We communicated with Vivian Tumaini and copied Irene Muturi, but received delayed, vague responses with no solution. These delays pushed us beyond the 7-day return window unfairly. The product description was also misleading, as it did not mention any PS5 compatibility limitations. The TV has a 14-month warranty, yet Jumia refused to offer a refund or exchange. This experience has been frustrating and unresolved. We strongly advise others to reconsider buying electronics from Jumia—if an issue arises, expect poor communication and no solution.
